Agnes's Story

Agnes Maxine Clapp Bate of Taylors passed away on October 23, 2017. She was married to the late Rev. Oscar O. Bate for 56 years, and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ella Mae Clapp.
Agnes was a long-time member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. She was a pastors wife for 25 years, serving faithfully at Sunnyside Community Church in North Rose, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She set a godly example by serving her family and friends through meals, cards, calls, emails, and prayers.
Agnes is survived by her four children: Ernest Bate, James Bate (Lisa), Robert Bate (Brenda), and Sharon Quantrille; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at the Chapel at The Mackey Mortuary on Saturday, October 28th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9:30-10:45am Saturday morning.
