Barbara Mama II (Kelly) Blare, 96, of Greensburg passed away on January 9, 2018. She was born in Hope, Indiana on December 26, 1921 the Daughter of George and Zue (Wasson) Kelly. Barbara graduated from Greensburg High School and then attended Butler University where she met the love of her life- George Rocky Blare. They were married on December 21, 1943 at the Butler University Chapel. Together they had two children. Barbara was employed at Delta Faucet for many years first in Greensburg and then in Indianapolis. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She loved being in her herb club and rug hooking group. She loved her family so much and was always there for them. She was an excellent example of a Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. She could be described as a giver- a giver of her love, time, and talents.
Survivors include: Children- Stephen Blare and Susan (Harvey) Peggs; Sister- Ginny Garvey. Grandchildren- Scott (Teena) Seibel, Sherry (Chris) Woolston, Kelly Terrell, Jennifer (Dustin) White, Sonya (Stu) Fontaine, Dr. Cara (Dr. Troy Payner) Peggs, Bryan (Jolinda) Peggs, Joe (Missy) Peggs, and Julia (Mike) Reydell; Great Grandchildren- Paul, Emily, Jeffrey, Blare, McKenzie, Bram, Blane, Inara, Kolin, Micah, Madalyn, Brianna, Clayton, Matthew, Julius, Wesley, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Devin, Dillon, Mandy, Drake, Brittany, Greta, and Charlie; and 11 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: Husband- George Rocky Blare, 2017; her Twin Sister- Margie Farr, 2017; Grandson- Jeffrey Scott Seibel, 1970.
Honoring Barbaras wishes there will be no calling. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 15, 2018 at South Park Cemetery, 405 S. East Street, Greensburg, Indiana.
