Charles V. Phillips, 86, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 20, 1930 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. He was the son of George Phillips and Susan M. (Ward) Cooker.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local #20.
He married Stella (Dobbins) Phillips on July 25, 1995, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, David (Jody) Phillips of Flat Rock, Indiana and Dan (Marianne) Phillips of Edinburgh, Indiana; daughters, Debbie (Chris) Potter of Hagerstown, Maryland and Susie (Galen) Burton of Franklin, Indiana; step-son, Douglas Dobbins of Greensburg; and step-daughter, Valeria (Rick) Callahan of Edinburgh, Indiana; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Norman Phillips; brother, John Phillips; and sister, Catherine Driscoll.
It was Charles' wishes for cremation and no service to be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
