Ethel's Story

Ethel J. Washburn, 68, of Greensburg, passed away on December 3, 2017 at Our Hospice In-Patient facility in Columbus. She was born March 14, 1949 in Greensburg to Richard L. Garrison and Ellen Anderson Garrison.
She married Wayne Washburn on June 7, 1964 and he survives. Other survivors include children: Angie (John) Hunt of Greensburg; Aleatha (Brett) Ewing of St. Paul, IN; Daniel (Missy) Washburn of Texas; Tim (Tanya) Washburn of Lafayette, IN; one brother, Richard Garrison of Shelbyville; and 30 grandchildren and great-grand children.
Mrs. Washburn was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Richie Gookins; one brother, Tim Garrison; and one great-grandson, Alexander Hunt.
Mrs. Washburn was a lifetime resident of this area where she was a homemaker. She attended Cornerstone Christian Church in St. Paul. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending church, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Services will be held at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin Street in St. Paul, Indiana on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Pastor George Mitchell will be officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery in Decatur County.
