Eunice R. DeVoe, 88, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. Born in Decatur County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen (Pfeifer) Gault.
She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church.
She retired from State Farm Insurance in 1995, after 32 years. She was a member of the Fort Wayne Insurance Adjusters Association. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 505 and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Carol) DeVoe of Antigo, Wisconsin and Jennifer (David) Gibson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; siblings, Pauline Ball of Indianapolis, Mary Laws of Westport, and Genevieve Wills of Carmel; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, David W. DeVoe in 2010; son, David A. DeVoe; parents; and siblings, an infant brother, Charles and Harold Gault, Alice Grimes, Beulah Blauvelt, and Ralph Gault.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Funeral services begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 27 at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy. E. Pastor Chuck Fenwick will officiate. Burial will follow in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
