Jared Lee Chance, 29, formerly of Rush County and Greensburg, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 26, 2017, at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida. He was born May 6, 1988.
As a child, Jared grew up in Rushville and later spent his teenage years in Greensburg. He eventually moved to Clermont, Florida, where he spent the last few years of his life surrounded by friends and doing what he loved - spending time outdoors and saltwater fishing.
Jared was deeply cared for by many, and was known for his big heart, beautiful smile and generous attitude. While his life on earth was short, his positivity and warmth touched everyone he met. He was a great friend to all, especially in a time of need and enjoyed spending time with his family.
A loving brother and son, Jared will be forever remembered by his mother, Michelle (Hull) Scudder; father and stepmother, David and Dawn Chance; siblings, Taylor, Brooklyn, and Kyle; and his niece, Charlotte. Jared will also be dearly missed by his grandmother, Janice Hull; grandparents, Joe and Rosie Chance; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
A celebration of Jared's young life will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Graveside services begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Alexander presiding.
