John "Who" R. Ruble Jr., 64, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at his residence. John was born Oct. 15, 1952, at St. Albans Naval Hospital in Long Island, New York, son of John Sr. and Betty (Colson) Ruble.
He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1970 and went on to serve in the U.S. Marines for 11.5 years during Vietnam.
He worked for many years as a truck driver for Eckrich/Conagra Foods, retiring when they closed.
Survivors include his son, Kevin (Tamara) Ruble of Redmond, Oregon; daughters, Christina Kaake of Wylie, Texas, Crystal (Jacob) Neumann of Temple, Texas, Katie Herbert of Avon, Katrina (Mike) Sandefur of Edinburgh, Kelli (Jose) Mejia of Shelbyville, and Vanessa Conway; mother, Betty Ruble of Greensburg; sisters, Terri (Rocky) McGrath of Laurel, Roberta (Jeff) Purvis of Dillsboro, Brenda (Fran) Riehle of Versailles, and Marilyn (Everett) Barber of Vevay; brother, Lon (Andrea) Ruble of Sierra Vista, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and nephew, Arthur Ruble.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until the start of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rossburg Cemetery with military funeral honors.
