Lucille Holzback, 88, longtime Rush County- Richland Township resident, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, in Rushville. She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Decatur County, to Emmert E. and Glenn Dora (Doggett) Maple.
Lucille graduated from Sandusky High School in 1946. She married Wilbur Holzback on Aug. 27, 1949.
Lucille was a long time member of Clarksburg Christian Church. She will forever be remembered for her multi-tasking abilities around her home, her genuine love and care for her family, and her molasses cookies.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wilbur of Rushville; son, Michael (Carol) Holzback of Rush County; daughter, Regina Masching of Minnesota; grandchildren, David (Nicole) Edwards of Connersville, Angie (Tim) Fagan of Wayne County, Dawn Tanksley of Rushville, Joshua (Stephanie) Holzback of Noblesville and Jonathan (Krystal) Holzback of Memphis, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Alex Edwards, Aaron, Luke, Zach and Seth Fagan, Tyler Tanksley and Taylor, Haylee, Isiah and Jackson Holzback.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Platt and half-brothers, Forrest and Gene Garrett.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville. Rev. Jerran Jackson will preside. Burial will be in Fisher/Richland Cemetery in Rush County.
