Margaret C. McCullough, 92, Westport, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Aspen Place Health Campus. She was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Westport, daughter of William Stanley and Clara Pearl (Davis) Maddux.
Margaret lived most of her life in Westport. She also lived in Trafalgar, Medora, Versailles, and Frankfort.
She graduated from Westport High School in 1942 and from Frankfort Pilgrim College in 1944.
She was a member of Westport Wesleyan Church and enjoyed reading and crocheting. She married Rev. Nelson McCullough on Aug. 8, 1952, in Westport, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1973.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Ann McCullough, Westport; son, Wesley (Carol) McCullough, Westport; sisters, Lois Holzhause, Bonnie (Ted) Sims, Rosemary Maddux, all of Westport, Harriett (Fred) Cruser and Barbara Faidley, both of Indianapolis and Rachel Brophy, Muncie; brother, David (Deborah) Maddux, Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Robert D. and Joseph Maddux.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 at Westport Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research, Westport Wesleyan Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
