Michael's Story

Michael W. Davis, 72, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1944, in Greensburg, the son of Wayne and Norma (Bennett) Davis.
He graduated from Greensburg High School and he attended Evansville University.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam from 1965-1969.
On June 8, 1974, in Beech Grove, he married Diana Sue Fasnacht, and she survives.
Michael was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corporation as an Acquisitions Analyst for 32 years. During his career, he was also appointed to the Department of Financial Institutions Board of Directors by four different governors from September 20, 2002, to May 31, 2016. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #245.
He enjoyed golfing, traveling with his many friends and spending time with his loving wife of 42 years whom he was always with, cherished and said, "was the best part of my life." He was proud to be a part of a great blended family that got along with one another exceptionally well.
Surviving are his wife, Diana Sue Davis of Muncie; siblings, Bill Davis (Theresa) of Greensburg, Rusty Davis (Tracy) of Greensburg, Jay Beagle (Patti) of Indianapolis, Ross Davis (Susan) of Greensburg, Janet Davis of Greensburg, Connie Froderman (Dave) of Greensburg and Kristi Hall (Jeff) of Greensburg; and step-mother, Martha Davis of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Davis; mother, Norma Beagle; and step-father, Walker Beagle.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 31 at The Meeks Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Road. Memorial services will follow at 4 p.m., with Father David Hellmann officiating. Full military honors will be provided by The United States Air Force and the Veterans of Delaware County following services.
