Michael William Ruble, 66, born March 19, 1951, passed away peacefully in his home on July 2, 2017, at 4:45 p.m., surrounded by family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John William Ruble and Clara Mae Ruble.
Mike is survived by brothers and sisters, John (Teresa) Ruble, Cathy (Steve) Konzelman, Joyce (Earl) Bray, and Brian Ruble along with many nieces and nephews.
Michael married Wanda (Whiteman) Ruble on Feb. 15, 1975, and had five children, Jeff Morgan, Toni (Keith) Jenne, Shawn Morgan, Mandy (Mark Mayhugh) Hamer and Christina Ruble who have him 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mike served active duty in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. In this time, he served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. After serving in the Army, Mike went on to start his maintenance/electrician career at Randall's, went to Custom Conveyer and eventually retired after spending 21 years at Delta Faucet. After retiring, Mike went on to start his own business of Tree City Electric up until February 2016.
Mike's many passions in life included racing, fishing, golfing, camping, playing pool and, most importantly, his favorite thing to do was drink his Miller Lite. Mike also enjoyed spending time with his friends, including his best buddy, Bill Edrington who never failed at having his back. Mike also had a huge passion for his animals, Shelby, Racer, Bailey and Zoey.
Something else that Mike was known for was his enormous collection of Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, his all-time favorite race car driver. He was very loved by many people and will be missed. But like he always said, "It'll Be Okay!!" #51. The family gave thanks to Dr. Cooper and the Crew at Hansen Center in Batesville and Margaret Mary Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Life Line Wesleyan Church, 2002 Moscow Rd., Greensburg,
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at Life Line Wesleyan Church with Affiliate Pastor Philip Bogear presiding.
