Nathan Ray Collins, 38, of Brookville, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1979, in Greensburg, the son of Arthur Ray and Donna Lavonne (Mozingo) Sullivan.
He lived the majority of his life in Decatur County and was employed at Spectrum Contractors in Brownsburg. He enjoyed his friends and family, fishing, hunting, and playing horseshoes.
He married Sommer Nicole Denney on July 6, 2014, in Brookville and she survives. Other survivors include his mother, Donna Lavonne Sullivan of Brookville; daughter, Mackenzie Collins of Greensburg; sons, Cory Ray Collins of Brookville and Jordan Collins of Rushville; stepdaughter, Makayla Heath of Brookville; stepsons, Isaiah Heath and Mason Comstock, both of Brookville; sisters, Nicole (Corey) Petro of Westport and Krystal Sullivan of Brookville; brothers, Brad Sullivan of Greensburg, Mike Sullivan of Milroy and Anthony Sullivan of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Russell and Stella Mozingo, Ruby and Doc McQueen and Jack Sullivan.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Funeral services begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery.
