Norma Jean Beagle, 89, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Norma was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Greensburg, the daughter of Jasper and Merle (Purdy) Bennett.
Norma married Walker P. Beagle on Feb. 27, 1954, at Greensburg United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1987.
Norma was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Martha's Circle. She was a member of the Friends of the Library and Psi Iota Xi. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling, and spending her winters in Florida.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Sue) Davis of Muncie and Dr. Jay (Patti) Beagle of Indianapolis; sister, Betty (Jack) Kixmiller of Greensburg; grandchildren, Kyle, Caroline, and Jenna Beagle; and nephew, Jo Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Patti Jean Davis.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until the start of the memorial service at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
