Phyllis M. Lichty, 83, Greensburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. Phyllis was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on June 20, 1933, to Durward and Natalie (Roesink) Harper.
Phyllis graduated from Creston High School in Grand Rapids in 1951 and attended Owosso Bible College in Owosso, Michigan. She worked for 20 years as a secretary for Douglass and Nelson Abstract, Inc. in Covington, Indiana.
She was a member of Greensburg Wesleyan Church. Her lifetime was filled with serving others and her church. She played piano and was an active Sunday School teacher.
Phyllis always found the good in everyone she met. Her favorite times were spent with 'her girls,' grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by daughters, Cindy (Ed) Daihl and Brenda (Phil) Bogear, all of Greensburg; sister, Sharon Hendrick, Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren; Emily (Dustin) Lafferty, Megan (Adam) Parks, Abigail (Andy) Donaldson; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Connor, Michael, and Anna Lafferty, Audrey and Nora Parks, and Morgan and Collin Donaldson; and her former husband, Donald Lichty.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Monday, March 6 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at noon, with Rev. Doug Preston officiating. Burial will be at Union Presbyterian Cemetery in Letts.
