Robert R. Gilaspy, 82, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Bob was born Feb. 15, 1935, in Indianapolis, the son of Horace Gilaspy and Ginny (Shepard) Kellermier.
He was a 1953 graduate of Tech High School in Indianapolis. Bob joined the US Army and served from 1956 to 1963.
Bob worked at BMG Music Entertainment for 38 years, retiring as a manager in 1995. He was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church, Men for Christ and the Knightstown American Legion.
On June 10, 1971, he married Bonnie Ruth Dyer, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Melinda Sue (Charles) Fitzpatrick of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sons, Perry Robert Gilaspy of Wilkinson, Indiana and Gregory Alan (Beverly) Gilaspy of Carthage, Indiana; brothers, Richard (Sharon) Gilaspy of Indianapolis and Larry (Kathy) Gilaspy Fairbanks, Indiana; sister, Marilyn Garmon of Hollis, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9 a.m. until the start of memorial services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Jerran Jackson will officiate.
