Timothy J. Harmon
Timothy J. Harmon, (Harmy) 64, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Son to Thomas and Olive Harmon who preceded him in death, Tim was a lifelong resident of Greensburg, Indiana. Loving husband to Janet Harmon, and beloved stepfather to Ryan (Anita) Lawrence of Greensburg, IN, Hillary (Matthew) Ebejer of Huntington Beach, CA, and Kellen (Katie) Lawrence of Indianapolis, IN. Tim was a lifelong member of the Greensburg Country Club and maintained a vast and enjoyable group of friends that he loved just like family. Tim had an innate sense of humor and a distinguishable laugh that was easily picked out in a crowded room. A proud graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Education, Tim's careers spanned from teaching, to bread delivery, and finally as an employee of Steel Technologies in Greensburg. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tim was lovingly called PawPaw Smokey by his beautiful grandsons Miles, Luka, and Kenai Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Olive Harmon; father-in-law Marvin Stoner, all of Greensburg; his uncle Dick Harmon (Pennsylvania). Along with his wife and stepchildren, survivors include his mother-in-law Rose Stoner, brother-in-law Jim Stoner, both of Greensburg, IN, sister-in-law Joyce (Dave) Thurman of Indianapolis, and countless dearly beloved friends and family of various places around the state. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Greensburg Country Club. A rosary for family and friends will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10 until the funeral mass at 11:00 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg.
