Tracy's Story

Tracy Lee Bower, 56, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. He was born in Greensburg on Feb. 6, 1960, to Ora and Frances (Vires) Bower.

Tracy graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1978 and received a Bachelor's Degree in English from Wabash College.

Tracy married Cynthia Adams on Jan. 9, 2007, and she survives.

Tracy worked as a Field Consultant for 7-Eleven for seven years. He enjoyed cooking, playing piano, his dogs Sadie and Molly, and taking care of others. He supported education and youth-serving organizations with friends and co-workers.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 10 years, Cynthia; children, Joshua Franklin Bower, Gregory Ryan (Darla) Rudd, Jordan Chae Bower, Zacharia Christopher Colburn Smith, Alysson Blair Bower (Chet) Kibodeaux, and Candace Bower; mother, Frances Bower; brother, Jeffrey Lane (David Duncan) Bower; brother, Galen Scott (Barbara LeMay)Bower; nieces and nephews, Blake Andrew (Karli) Bower, Brianna Paige Bower, Charles Kenneth LeMay-Bower and August Cole LeMay-Bower; cousins, extended family, co-workers and friends.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Ora Bower; paternal grandparents, John and Florine Bower; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Rebecca Vires.

Friends and family will gather at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 5625 W. 30th St., in Speedway. There will be an informal time of gathering at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon provided by the family and all are welcome to join. Tracy's funeral services were held last week in Fort Worth

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, American Cancer Society, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tracy's family wishes to thank the host of friends, physicians, nurses, caregivers who provided treatment and support for Tracy over the past seven months.
