William Daryl Maddux, 63, of Westport passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Premier Health Care in North Vernon. He was born on August 24, 1954, in Greensburg, the son of William D. & Charlotte (Vickery) Maddux
He was raised in Westport and was a 1972 graduate of South Decatur High School.
He had worked at Rose Acres in Monon, Indiana. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Maddux of Westport; daughter, Roxanna Maddux of Avon; sons, Nathan Maddux of Bloomington, Brent Hughes of Monticello; sisters, Cynthia (Mike) Goodpaster of North Vernon, Dana Sue (Mark) Huntsman of Scipio; brothers, Jeff (Angie) Maddux of North Vernon, Darin Maddux of Hayden and 2 grandchildren, Mirren Kayley and Keenan Lee Maddux both of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister in infancy, Deborah Kay Maddux.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Rev. Steve Malone will officiate with burial to follow at Westport Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
