Wilma I. Buening, 78, Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Born April 7, 1938, in Decatur County, she was the daughter of John B. and Viola A. (Tichenor) Brancamp.
Wilma graduated from Napoleon High School in 1955. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg and the St. Lawrence Ladies Auxiliary.
She married William E. Buening on June 24, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Lisa) Buening, Nineveh, Kenny (Nancy) Buening, Greensburg; daughters, Theresa Caffee, Greensburg, Janet (Bob) Henry, Batesville, Katrina (Rickey) Applegate, North Vernon; sisters, Norma (Bob) Schreiner, Shelbyville, Dorothy (Frank) Schreiner, Greensburg; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Junior Bowling, Bill Caffee; brothers, John Brancamp, Leo Brancamp, Paul Brancamp, Clarence Brancamp; sisters, Lillian Huff, Mary Ann Voiles, Pauline Fromer.
Family and friends will gather to pray the rosary at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with visitation following until 5 p.m. Funeral mass begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen.
Memorials may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund.
