Greensburg, IN - Connie Sue Fruchtnicht, 70, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026. She was born on March 17, 1956, the beloved daughter of Eldon and Irma Campbell. Connie was a proud graduate of Huntington North High School and went on to further her education by earning an administrative certification. She dedicated more than 40 years of her life to serving as the secretary at North Elementary, where she became a familiar and comforting presence to generations of students, parents, and staff. Connie was also devoted to her family and shared 48 years of marriage with her husband, Richard Fruchtnicht, a partnership marked by love, loyalty, and enduring companionship.

Connie is survived by her husband, Richard Fruchtnicht; daughters Lacey (Paul) Cunningham and April (Ron) Linville; and grandchildren Jocelyn Cunningham, Ellie Linville, and Emmitt Linville.

A visitation will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday April 27, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday April 28, 2026 at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Kingston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Decatur County 4-H, Pancreatic (American) Cancer Society or to the church of your choice.
