Rushville, Indiana - Donald "Don" Hoeing, 70 of Rushville passed away December 6, 2025 in Greensburg. He was born January 21, 1955 in Rushville, IN to the late Wilbur A. and Juliann (Reuter) Hoeing. Don was a 1973 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and attended Purdue University. He married Maryalice (Herbert) Hoeing on September 30, 1978 and she survives.

Don was a farmer all his life in Rush County and enjoyed raising pigs. He was the president of Rush County Pork Producers. Don took great pride in being a part of 4-H in Rushville and served over 30 years as Swine Project Superintendent. He was an avid Indiana University Basketball and Indianapolis Colts fan. Don loved telling his granddaughters stories and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, Maryalice (Herbert) Hoeing, he is survived by his daughters, Mandy (Brian) Reisman, Brittany (Tony) Bowers, Courtney (Randy) Hill; 5 granddaughters, Paige Reisman, Olivia Reisman, Khloe Bowers, Delaney Bowers and Kynlee Hill; brothers, Richard (Diane) Hoeing, Kenneth (Denise) Hoeing, Kevin (Pam) Hoeing, Mike (Denise) Hoeing, Mark (Lori) Hoeing, David (Karen) Hoeing; sister-in-law, Pam Fussner Hoeing; father-in-law, Lloyd Herbert; brother-in-law, Dennis (Sue) Herbert; step-mother, Myrna Hoeing and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Hoeing; nephew, Kyle Hoeing and mother-in-law, Shirley Herbert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Dustin Boehm presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 4PM-8PM at Moster Mortuary. Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM.

Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Purdue Rush County Extension for Rush County 4-H, St. Mary Catholic Church, Our Hospice of Southern Indian or donor's choice.
