Doris Ann Lynch
Doris Ann Lynch, 89, a long time Rush County/Andersonville area resident, passed away September 28, 2019 in Rushville. Doris was born August 15, 1930 in Lee County, KY to Merida & Beatrice (Brandenburg) Farmer. She married Wayne Lynch on August 20, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1998.
Doris worked many years at Stevens Grocery in Andersonville. She had been a member of the Andersonville Christian Church for many years. She was a 50+ year member of the Andersonville O.E.S and helped to run the Food Bank at the Andersonville Community Club. Doris was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved decorating cakes, gardening and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Bea Burgdoerfer and Joyce (Darrell) Sparks all of Laurel and her son, Steve (Jean) Lynch of Laurel, a half sister, Charlotte Begley of Florida, her grandchildren, Amy (Tracy) Bare, Keisha (Tyrone) Jackson, Brooke Wicker, Kimberly (Ethan) Laughlin, Abbi (Jake) Mauer and Julie (Adam) Mauer and 16 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Farmer, grandsons, Dustin & Clint Lynch and a great grandson, Camden Jackson.
Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 4-8 PM on Friday evening, October 4. Burial will be in the Laurel North Cemetery. There will be an O.E.S service at 7PM on Friday evening.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the National Autism Association.
