Greensburg, IN - Marlene Eva Wolter, age 88, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on April 3, 2025, at Morning Breeze Healthcare Center. She was born on July 10, 1936, in Midland, Michigan, to Howard and Hazel (Woodruff) Rogers.

Marlene graduated from Midland Senior High School in 1954. During this time, she became pen pals with Bernard W. "Ben" Wolter while he was stationed in Germany. Their correspondence led to their marriage on May 12, 1956. They shared 34 years of marriage until Ben's passing on August 6, 1990.

Marlene is survived by her children: Mike (Kathy) Wolter, Denise (Don) Underhill, Carolyn (Glenn) Gersch, and Jane Wolter; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her 4 siblings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will follow at St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Decatur County.
