Patricia H. Burns, 76, of Milroy passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Aspen Place Health Campus following a brief illness. She was born May 24, 1944 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Donald G. and Julia (Mayer) Ballard.
Patty has called Milroy home since moving there in 1966, when her husband, Richard, purchased the Burns Funeral Home. She was a devoted wife, mother and business partner as she had assisted Richard with the daily funeral home operations and served the residents of Milroy area from day one.
Patty is survived by her husband, Richard Burns of Milroy; son, Sam Burns of Milroy; brother, Donald M. Ballard of Millville; sister, Maryetta Ford of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Melton and Jeannie Sharp.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
