Rodger Dale Shepherd, 54, of Columbus passed away Friday April 29, 2022 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

He was born September 12, 1967 in Greensburg.

He had been employed at Walmart in maintenance.

Rodger is survived by children, Jake (Hailey) Shepherd of Greensburg, Ethan Shepherd (Brandi Combs) of Columbus and Sarah Shepherd of Indianapolis; two grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Jennifer (Jeff) McNealy of Greensburg, Brenda (Mark W.) Hamilton of Columbus and Ken (Lori) Hedrick of Columbus and nieces and nephews.

Rodger's funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Presbyterian Lower Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated directly to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Riley's Children Hospital or Donor's Choice of Charity.

Rodger enjoyed going to auctions, riding motorcycles, spending time outdoors and with family and friends. He was a generous person and helped anyone in need.

He had been a member of DeMolay in High School.

Rodger was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hettie Jacobs; mother, Naomi Wolford Shepherd; father, Charles Hedrick and sister, Sheryl Arthur.
