Wallace S. Thompson
Wallace S. Thompson, 87, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the residence of his son. He was born December 22, 1930 in Decatur County, the son of Paul S. and Florence (Rolin) Thompson. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. He was a farmer, graduated from Burney High School, was a member of the Burney United Methodist Church and the Decatur County Aviation Association. He was a veteran having served with the US Airforce. He enjoyed flying planes and racing. He married Juanita O. Richardson in Hope, Indiana on February 11, 1955. She preceded him in death on February 4, 2018. Wallace is survived by his daughter Deborah K. Ayers of Greensburg; his son, Paul (Becky) Thompson of Greensburg; his granddaughters, Shannon Carder, Jamie (Joe) Creamer both of Greensburg and Jessy Eicher of Sunman; his six great grandchildren; his sister; Mary (Donald) Stillabower of Greensburg; his twin brother, Willice Thompson of Greensburg, and brother Dennis (Reba) Thompson of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Funeral
services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Bill Leak & Pastor Tammy Leak officiating. Burial will be at the Union Baptist Cemetery with military graveside rites. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
